viewed a glorious moment when Karnataka’s Sini Shetty was crowned Femina Miss
India World 2022 at a glittering pageant that was hosted on Sunday night at Jio Convention
Centre. Femina Miss India is one of
the most awaited pageants that is held annually. The pageant gives young girls
a platform to showcase their talent, voice their opinion on various issues and
celebrate the actual essence of being a beauty queen. The comprehensive scouting drive and following interview
rounds resulted in the shortlisting of 31 state champions.
Sini Shetty originally hails from Karnataka but
currently resides in Mumbai for her projects and many other works. Sini
Shetty has a graduation degree in accounting and finance from the prestigious
St. Dominic Savio Vidhyalaya. It is reported that the Miss India 2022 winner is
pursuing CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst). Apart from her academics, dancing is
her first love and has intrigued her interest in the co-curricular section. She
started dancing at the age of four and was just 14 years old when she completed
Arangetram
and Bharatanatyam. Along with being
trained in classical dance, she is also good at modern dance forms like
contemporary and hip hop as her Instagram profile has several videos of her
talent. During her internship days, she has also worked as a product executive.
Moreover, she considers Priyanka Chopra to be her biggest inspiration in the
world of pageants. Apart from this, she is also winner of the Miss Talent award
in the Miss India 2022 sub-contests.
Along with Sini Shetty, Rubal Shekhawat was also named Miss India 2022 First Runner Up, while Shinata Chauhan was named Miss India 2022 Second Runner Up |
After almost 2.5 months of grooming and training sessions, the finale of Femina Miss India 2022 concluded with Sini Shetty from Karnataka winning the title of Femina Miss India World 2022. Rubal Shekhawat from Rajasthan was crowned as first runner-up while Shinata Chauhan from Uttar Pradesh was crowned as the second runner-up. Sini will now represent India at upcoming Miss World pageant. The outgoing queens, Manasa Varanasi, Manika Sheokand and Manya Singh crowned the new winners.
In its hybrid structure, the contest had started a countrywide search for promising talent from all
around the country via virtual auditions. The extensive scouting drive and
subsequent interview rounds culminated with the shortlisted selection of 31
state winners this year. These shortlisted finalists arrived in Mumbai and had
to go through rigorous training and grooming sessions and were mentored by the
best in the industry, to compete for the crown at the finale.
The panel of jury included Neha Dhupia, Malaika Arora, Dino Morea, Rohit Gandhi, Rahul Khanna, Mithali Raj, Shaimak Davar. The show also had performances from Kriti Sanon and Lauren Gottlieb. The finale will be telecast on Colors TV on 17th July 2022. The finale of the pageant was held in Jio World Convention Theatre with Manish Paul hosting the event who was later joined by Bollywood actor Rajkummar Rao to announce the three winners of the night.

Shetty took home the dazzling crown of Femina Miss India World 2022 at the
event that was hosted at the JIO World Convention Center in Mumbai, which
featured Bollywood A-listers and VIPs. The Bollywood’s entertaining quotient was added at the event
with Kriti Sanon and Lauren Gottlieb performing.
The Miss India Organisation also shared a congratulatory note to the three winners in a special message through its official Instagram account. “These ladies have a powerful voice and we’re sure that they’re going to use this platform to further all the important causes that they believe in. We’ve seen the passion with which they’ve worked for these titles and must say that they deserve every bit of this. Congratulations, ladies - it’s time to celebrate.”
Winners of the Miss India pageant then go on to represent the country on
a global stage in the world of pageantry. More often than not, such beauty
pageants also serve as a stepping stone to enter Bollywood, with actresses such
as Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sushmita Sen, Lara Dutta,
Neha Dhupia, Dia Mirza and others having carved careers for themselves in the
Hindi film industry.
