Sanjay Nirupam, MP at a press conference held in Mumbai in the presence of Shivanand Shetty and MLA Aslam Shaikh made an announcement of doing a free entry dandiya continuing with the tradition which has been since last three year. The major attraction for the event will be the dandiya sisters Preeti and Pinky
The highlight of this year dandiya is the safety of women to be conveyed through speeches, Sanskrit slokas, and tandav to be performed by Preeti Pinky.

There will be extra security for women at the ground. This year they have made arrangements to accommodate at least 30,000 entries.The media was regaled by sloks sung by Preeti and Pinky duo.
Arun Sharma of LR Active will be the title sponsor of the event. Along with Shivanand Shetty, Bhushan Patil will be the co-sponsored and Jignesh Buta of Hitech Events will manage this event, to begin from 5th October until 13th October 2013.
